A world without color. Can you imagine how different your life would be if you couldn’t see them?
Picture seeing a world that is much similar to a black and white television. Some of you might think that everything would look plain and boring, but aren’t there different kinds of shades of black, grey and white colors?
It’s hard for me to imagine the absence of color. Color is something, but we often don’t care about it and miss its wonders. There are many things we would not be able to experience fully if there were no colors. Removing color would eliminate all individuality, and remove the unique traits of everything around us. Thus, it would accomplish exactly what they set out to accomplish in The Giver.
Without color, there would be a world of mental darkness, of frustration. We would go mad in a colorless world. We fully don’t appreciate and take time to see the true meaning of every color we each see.
